Muscular Dystrophy UK is working alongside individuals and families affected by muscle-wasting conditions, health professionals and NHS commissioners to improve healthcare in the UK.

Many people don’t give visiting public buildings a second thought. However, some disabled people are unable to go out or take part in activities many take for granted because standard accessible toilets do not meet their needs – or the needs of their carers and families.

Identifying and removing the barriers that cause delays to ensure that patients are able to access and benefit from new, safe, and effective treatments as quickly as possible.

We greatly value cross-party support from parliamentarians across the UK. This is vital in our fight for improved neuromuscular services, faster access to treatments and enabling people with muscle-wasting conditions to live independently.
