Spirit of Christmas concert Glasgow

Join us on 2 or 3 December for a magical evening of festive songs and readings, brought to you by the students of Stagecoach Performing Arts Schools in Glasgow.

People from Glasgow and beyond are invited to start the Christmas season in style, at an evening of uplifting performances and festive cheer taking place at the Broom Parish Church, Newton Mearns, on Friday 2 and Saturday 3 December, in aid of Muscular Dystrophy UK (MDUK).

The annual Christmas concert, organised by StageCoach, has become a firm favourite to kick off the season and this year will be full of festive songs and readings brought to you by footballing legend Gordon Smith and the students of StageCoach Performing Arts School, in Glasgow.

Jodie Whitham, MDUK’s Regional Development Manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland said: “The Spirit of Christmas always feels like the start of the festive season and it’s a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit – a night of uplifting music in such beautiful surroundings. It’s truly joyful, with so many people giving their time to help us raise awareness and raise funds for people living with muscle-wasting conditions. Make sure you don’t miss out on this magical evening!”

Gordon Smith, ex professional footballer and MDUK Ambassador, will be addressing the audience on the saturday night and giving a special performance. He said: “Christmas is a great time of the year to reflect and it’s been a honour to have continued to raise awareness of Muscular Dystrophy UK in order to help the fight against muscle-wasting conditions. The Spirit of Christmas event allows us to come together to celebrate and raise vital funds to help give hope for the future for people living with conditions. Do join us on the Friday or Saturday night or if you can’t please support this amazing charity by making a donation.”
